Very poor comparison in my opinion. One image used flash, providing more light to capture detail and added shadows. The other image used no flash, and had to compensate by cranking up the ISO introducing a bunch of noise which than gets smoothed out losing the details.

I think the hype has died down some because it's no longer new and exciting tech, but I don't think its gonna go away. Personally I want to get more into VR, but it's a bit expensive and I've got more important things than to spend hundreds on a new toy. I don't have the PS4, and my PC isn't...

Got a Gear VR free with my S7 a couple years ago, honestly haven't touched it in over 6 months. With the content currently available I'm just not interested, was fun to play with for a bit but got boring fast.

Already own a Surface, but I wouldn't wait for an unannounced product. Why sit on my money hoping for something that may never be when I can buy and enjoy something today?

I don't work IT or have a work issued computer of any kind, but I've yet to see Windows 8 or Windows 10 in the work place.

Android is the world's most used OS, Windows may be older but unless Micrsoft gets it's head out of it's *** they won't be relevant in another 10 years.

After the last round of updates it constantly hangs, I went back to Chrome, at least it remains stable.

Personally have never liked using a tablet as a camera, and have only taken a few photos with my SP3 just to mess around with it years ago. I'm all for a great front facing camera, one capable of 4k with good dynamic range would be welcome, but I don't care about the back camera at all.

As to something new that can replace the Surface 3, only the Galaxy Book 10.6 comes to mind. It seems smaller tablets died when Intel axed Atom.

I can't speak for availability in India but the Windows on ARM devices were supposed to become available Q4 of 2017, so should be any time now. But still haven't seen any confirmed release dates or information on devices yet.

I basically only go to best buy to see store demos and purchase most things online.

Only thing in the base is battery and GPU, every other improvement comes with the screen because it functions as a tablet.
