Trust me. There aren't "fake-star" artefacts when 830's dng (low iso-long exposure) are developed within adobe LR. It removes hot pixel automatically (like ACR). ProShot is a must have for this phone. Appreciate its timelapse feature and less aggressive jpg algorithm (like Lumia Camera Classic).

Don't own ProShot. Waiting for a myappfree offer :smile: ... even if it doesn't support dng AFAIK. I prefer to shot dng over jpg Btw the above dng was a bit underexposed, cause my "all manual settings" stubborness, so the noise in the shadows :winktongue:

I prefer Lumia Camera for these reasons: -DNG option -More customizable settings Microsoft Camera is faster and has a less "wow" jpg algorithm. Choose it for fast automatic photos. ;)

Don't buy a Lumia 830! -You'll spend a lot of time to explain to your i-friends why you didn't buy an i-phone. -You will feel odd -Your photos will be by far the best, but they'll say that aren't from i-phone ;)

Amanita muscaria is noted for its hallucinogenic properties :winktongue: Just kidding. If you are referring to win 10 x pc the photo viewer app has an autoenhance feature enabled by default. Still preferring the "old" photoviewer that you can re-enable with a reg file.

Old story... the INfamous "starry night" effect of lumia camera 5 on long exposure shots at low iso. Read here. To avoid it you can use lumia camera 5 CLASSIC for jpgs "hot pixels free", or develop raws from lumia camera 5 "new" with adobe lightroom. ;)

The Photo app is fine with my arw (raw files from sony cameras). Paradoxically the Windows Photo app cannot handle dng from my windows phone (lumia 830) !!! :shocked: It's a shame !!! BTW in a side by side comparison among the Photo app and the "old" Windows Photo Viewer jpgs look crisp with the...
