    950XL Hangs After Windows Updates

Has happened to me with my 950XL the last few updates too. Thankfully I set a backup alarm on a second device, because one night my 950XL started updating during quiet hours, froze and shut down, and when I awoke I had to soft reset it to complete the update. Quite frustrating.

Waze keeps crashing, uninstall, and now I can't install it?

Waze still works for me on W10 Mobile. Voice navigation has been broken in Waze for a long time, and will never come back unless Google opts to update the app (haha fat chance).

W10M Official Release Build 10586.318 Issues

I am really hopeful that this update does correct the Bluetooth audio not resuming after Cortana dismisses or ignores a text (as mentioned in release notes). That issue has been driving me nuts.

Heart rate reporting too high when running

Anyone have an idea how this affects the UV monitoring? I'd image that it's less responsive or doesn't work at all when the UV sensor is worn inside the wrist.

    Bluetooth volume control?

Re: Bluetooth volume control I have noticed that it reverts back to 19 as well. Running .164 on my 950 XL. Annoying that it does this, but it does not affect my being able to adjust the volume on the phone or on the device.

    Can we print with 950XL?

Windows Central had a report earlier this week that a dedicated Print option is coming to ellipsis/context menus, perhaps in the upcoming Redstone update.

Lumia 950XL ATT - does lack of LTE affect this issue?

There were reports on the forums here of users having issues getting full LTE connectivity if they booted their phones first and the later installed an AT&T SIM. I installed the AT&T SIM from my previous phone into my 950 XL before doing first boot, and I have had full LTE since day one. No VVM...

    Battery life. Your experience?

The last production update (.164) seems to have coincided with reduced battery life for me. Whether it is due to the OS update or merely a coincidence because my app usage changed, I don't know.

    Flights of stairs

This might be more of a device-by-device case rather than a widespread issue. It also may be caused by unique operating circumstances some users experience (exposure to higher winds, for instance). Some users have reported on forums here that blowing into the barometer opening can cause...

dude my band stinks. (it smells)

I would be careful about what you use to wipe the Band/Band 2, both screen surfaces and rubber strap. Rubbing (isopropyl) alcohol is often a no-no for electronics and may damage the strap material. Water, with maybe a tiny hint of dish soap, is probably an option. Even better would be...

Can I deactivate my inactivity alert on Microsoft Band 2?

Re: Can I deactivate my inactivity alert on Microsoft Band 2 Yes, you can turn it off. Scroll to the settings icon (gear) on your Band 2, and then click the snail icon. There you will see control settings for activity reminders (on/off and frequency).

I just ordered the band 2 last night. Need some piece of mind please

As some other users have mentioned, it's important to put the complaints in proper context (not to diminish those users' problems, of course) - people are far more likely to complain than to praise. I received my Band 2 for Christmas and have worn it every day since. No evidence of tearing...

    Microsoft Band 2 vs. Fitbit

The next update to the Microsoft Health App will supposedly introduce social challenges and leader boards, per WC: Microsoft introduces Social Challenges and Leaderboards for the Band | Windows Central. There are third party options as well, like Bandsider (Band/Band 2 only) or InKin (inkin.com...

Is it not possible to manually lock a Windows 10 Mobile device?

Hi PrinceM. I'm having a little difficulty understand what, exactly, you'd like. Between the two settings on Windows Mobile, screen timeout and require sign-in, you would like to set the "require sign-in" option to 15 minutes (to allow your laptop to continue accessing files even if the screen...

Has anyone noticed how dull the 950XL display is?

The 920 used an IPS LCD screen, a tech that is good for viewing more accurate color at an angle. The 925 use "PenTile" AMOLED, which some complain have worse color performance and crispness than an IPS LCD. AMOLED screens save power over LCDs while still allowing good response time. However...
