@Macco26, I did a hard reset ( if that is a master reset using the option in settings? ) or is there some button hold option like the XDA2?? but I did a master reset using settings and tried without loading anything on the ativ and it was a no go. it is almost like the phones USB...

its all lies!!! my phone has tried to reproduce with itself again and im back to USB not recognised!

I should point out I tried rebooting everything, deleting drivers. Restoring pc's. Updating drivers.master resets on ativ. All for nothing. Just leaving for months fixed it UNLESS ?? A recent window's update had something to do with it?

my Ativ became enemies with all my PC's and laptops quite a few months ago, i tried all the cures i could find for it here and elsewhere to no avail. the cure, if it was?? was to buy an android phone and put the non talking Ativ away to use as a stand alone spare if necessay. a month or two...

not sure if ni have had the update, but in the last few days my battery meter ( and all the app battery meters i had installed ) started not showing above 93% and not going below 85%, i had the thing on charge 50% of the time so i didn't expect it drop anyway, but i couldn'r get it to rise above...

bouncing this back to the top, since updating yesterday i now have TEN copies of each track shown in the menu!! WTF. I dont actually have ten copies on the SD card cos it doesn't have enough of the memory used for that, some update microtoss!!!

another glitch i think, for some reason with NO music stored on the phone memory, when i now insert an SD card with just ONE copy of each music track on it, it shows up multiple times in the list. it was showing up 4 times per song so i removed the SD card, formatted it, put it back in the...

cheers crash1989, the back button eh?? i'll try that next time i get a call. the ringtone thing is easy, but it is the notification sound for an sms i want to change to one of my own not a ringtone.

just a few gripes about windows on the Ativ s, and the Ativ s. firstly, where is the native speed dial ?, it should have been built in. secondly, i can't find a way to access my call history during a phone call!! makes it hard to give out a phone number in your history log to the person...
