I've had my S3 for over a year now, and if they ever DID launch a Surface 4, I'd be ALL over that. I love the size of the S3 for portability, and the fanless design, so if they can rev it up a little, I think it would be a worthwhile upgrade.

You could try Open Office or Google Docs as alternatives. But, with Office 360 being subscription based now, it's less expensive than ever to get the real thing.

My mail app will have that same slow down issue when I'm typing a response once in awhile. I just retort the app and the problem goes away. Not the ideal solution, but certainly workable. I agree though, wait till Win 10 comes out and upgrade. I know I will!

I've found the same to be true. Depending on where I am in my local area I can get blazing fast speeds, or just limp along. My 640 XL gets speeds comparable to every other LTE phone I've had over the last two years, so I don't think it's anything to be worried about.

I haven't played a PC game since the first version of Planetside. All of my gaming now is console based like COD on an Xbox, so my S3 is strictly a tablet replacement that can run real programs.

I agree regarding the S3 being similar to a MBP in terms of usability. I have a 2014 13" MBP, and I use the S3 far more frequently for routine tasks like email, social media and word processing, excel, etc.

Two things. One, After a few weeks of carrying my Blue in my pocket without a screen protector, I had no issues. Second, the phone comes with a screen protector in the box for free, so you can put it on if you so desire. On a side note, I liked my Blue so much, I made the jump to a Lumina 640...

You mean using the phone as a hotspot? Yes, but it does drop out occasionally.
