You can actually get offline mode in Twitter and several other PWAs, I use it all the time. But first you need to enable the relevant caching features in Edge.

My 640 was pretty snappy before but it's definitely snappier now. I'm running the full PC version of the photos app and it's rock-solid and smooth as silk. I will be hanging on to this champ until it finally decides to quit - hopefully many years hence

Edge, on my midlevel laptop, I'd performing flawlessly since updating to 1803 - in fact the improvement has been so dramatic that it's now my default browser. The problem is probably attributable to your rig's configuration - try a clean install, if you haven't already done so

There's something wrong with your specific device. I've had a 640 for sometime now and I've never experienced what you've described. OS is updated once a month, at my choosing, and app updates happen also only at my choosing

Why not simply do a hard reset and configure the phone to do app installations on SD? That way, unless an app has to be installed on internal memory, you're automatically covered. If you do a backup prior to the hard reset the process is not as tedious as it's made out to be
