what android phone is similar to Lumia 1520

You can pick an overpriced 6'' phone, there's a dozen of em now, but as said, nothing will come close to the 1520. Im in the same boat as you - had my 1520 for 4 years or so now. It still works pretty well, a few scratches and the screen is giving me some problems (because I had it replaced with...

StrangeEdge or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love Firefox

I used it when Win10 launched. It was fine. Loved it more than Chrome, definitely. Then for some reason it started to perform bad all of a sudden, so I stopped for a bit and tried out FF Quantum (which is ... ok, though that's better than I expected). I wanted to get back to it after I get 1803...

    Does anyone use notifications?

I'll just say you people (who don't use them) are using your PC wrong. Not completely wrong, but you're using it like it's Win95. Try to be more open, and not dismiss anyting new immediately just because it's not what you're used to. That adaptive way of thinking is what brought all the...

    Come Sail Away

Massive support for these guys. I've been following them since they started (under the name Sailfish). They've been quiet lately unfortunately, financial problems 'n' stuff, but they seem to be past that. Can't wait to see what they have to offer, though unfortunately it seems like they don't...

    The NEXT Windows Phone

I'm guessing that we may get a few devices in 2017, but nothing important, even if HP releases the x3 refresh or whatever. The first major and noteworthy thing we're gonna see is Win on ARM, and my guess for that is somewhere in 2018. Late 2017 at best, in the case that someone's already working...

W10M has forked from W10 on build versions. What do you think?

Yep, the end (of Win10M) is nigh. Definitely. The fork just confirms it. I've been *lucky* enough to withness the Symbian downfall, and let me tell you this situation seems really familiar. I personally think that we're going to get one more version after CU, and that's the final destination. It...

Lets make Microsoft talk about Windows Mobile!

Here are a few quick thoughts of mine: -The devices we currently have that run eather Win10M, or Windows Phone, are straight up dead, RIP, ende, fade to black. A few (as we can see very few) will get the next update (the one after CU), but that's about it. My guess is they'll just stop after...

Unsupported CU phone users: What will you do now?

I've just put CU on my 1520. Microsoft let me down really hard on this one. I'm probably going to registry hack it later to get RS3 if that's even a thing for Mobile.

Why I wont leave Windows Mobile for the S8

^ I've yet to see a phone that beats my 1520 and makes me say wow. Until that, I'm perfectly fine.

Are you satisfied with Microsoft's "retrenchment" mobile strategy?

I'm perfectly OK with all the 'pain and suffering' as long as there is an end goal. If it's all for nothing, and this isn't a plan but actually a lack of one, then screw that.

Windows 10 Mobile Devices and Shutting Down

Lumia 1520; 17 seconds shut-down, 33 seconds turn-on. I have no idea, but I guess it's just some "optimisation and whatnot".

    Dude, Where's my Car?

Yeah they have that now. Kinda silly since everytime I use the bus or public transit it thinks I paked my car at the stop.

    What to do!?

I'd suggest the G6. I'd go crazy if I had to use an iPhone everyday.

    Arrow Launcher

I've tried it on a phone as well. It's... ok I guess, I see no real improvement or feature or something that makes you say wow, it just looks ok.

Graphical performance and actual performance is poor, will Neon solve it?

Neon won't fix it, because as mentioned above, it's just a new design idea. However performance should already be decent with AU and CU. To be honest, there's only so much that you can expect from a 2009ish PC.
