What's the music app like?

It's been a couple years since I last checked. The only reason I stayed with Xbox Music as long as I did was because I'm able to download my songs. Xbox Music did get much better, but it's still disappointing compared to the old days of Zune.

I'd like to be able to use a program like MediaMonkey, Winamp, or Foobar to play my whole library. Is there a way to play my downloaded Xbox music using those programs?

I actually meant that I was going to buy an older phone. But it would be awesome if I could throw WP7 on this one :p

Yes but even the older Xbox Music doesn't come close to Zune. And the desktop software is so much better than Xbox musics intrusive Windows 8 app.

My songs are being played from the SD Card. Wifi and data are on though.

Does anyone else have this issue? My Xbox Music takes at least two seconds every time I try to navigate to something. My previous WP7 was flawless with the Zune app.
