    Why Continuum failed?

I don't know if it should be described as a failure or not because really continuum was/is a stepping stone to CShell, and as such I'm not sure even Microsoft ever thought it would set the world on fire. However, Continuum did fail to resonate with consumers but I feel like that was more to do...

Revamping our Developer Program for 2017! You in?

I'm interested in this, I attempted some collaboration here with the UWP Dev Club but unfortunately it died quite quickly because I didn't have enough time to run it let alone take part enough to get it off the ground. I'm still extremely busy with my day job at the moment but waiting to hear...

What would it take for you to come back to Windows Mobile?

I can tell you first hand that out of that 2.8 million apps not even 0.1% are worth even looking at. As for quality I found most apps I use on W10M were much higher quality than their counterparts on Android, often the Android apps had more features but they are as buggy and laggy as the OS...

What would it take for you to come back to Windows Mobile?

Maybe they could market them as dumbphones instead, would probably sell a lot better lol

What would it take for you to come back to Windows Mobile?

Quite simple for me, they just need to release a high end device that's available on EE in the UK. Doesn't matter if it's a Surface Phone or something else, just need a brilliant camera, sleek design and decent battery life. Then to keep me and others on the platform they need to do that every...

    Best apps for writing/editing code?

Visual Studio Code is very impressive and comes cross platform on Win/Linux/Mac. I use it at work for Java because eclipse is painful. It supports pretty much any language via extensions and very lightweight. My go to solution is still full Visual Studio 2017 though for anything .NET related.

Hey all, sorry but I'm no longer working on this anymore as life got in the way too much and ended up not being able to dedicate any time for it.

    UWP Dev Club

I think that in order to develop good apps in UWP you ideally need to get to the level where you fully understand the MVVM pattern. And if you want to make an app that LOOKS good, then you will definetly want to spend time learning XAML and Blend (XAML designer, gets installed with visual...

    UWP Dev Club

This is exactly how I got into development at my company, I started as a support engineer and began working with C# Win Forms in Visual Studio on small applications and tools to help me with my day to day duties, 2 years later with a lot of exploration and experimentation with .NET I moved into...

    UWP Dev Club

Hi Guys, I'm a Software Engineer primarily working with C# on enterprise backend solutions in the financial industry. Let's put it this way, my job is boring and I spend a LOT of time working on legacy systems and code written many years ago. I'm desperate to work on more exciting and modern...

Continuum on Samsung Smart TV Built in Mirracast

I just picked up the 950 today without a display dock, ran all updates and everything and then tried to use Continuum on my TV via the built in Mirracast feature. I get an error message on the TV that says "Video Data not supported." And basically Continuum never connects. The strange thing is...
