    Stream 7 owners

As others have mentioned, the Stream 7 is an amazing value for the money. It's weird, but, when I fist powered it on and started using it, it was just a tad too sluggish, even taking into account the 1GB of RAM and the low workload that I placed on the processor. However, after going into the...

New WP 1520 owner! Galaxy Note 3 to Nokia 1520

I appreciate it, brother! I'm definitely looking forward to making the switch this year. I'll either move to the 1520 or its successor. If T-Mobile doesn't get either device, then I'm going to end up jumping ship to AT&T. I do greatly appreciate the replies! And, LOVE the analogy, by the way! ;)

    why I am considering Android

Trust me, when I say this: the grass isn't always greener, lol. I'm pretty sure, 2014 should see some great Windows Phone hardware. I'd at least wait until BUILD, before making any serious purchases. Nothing sucks like buyer's remorse.

New WP 1520 owner! Galaxy Note 3 to Nokia 1520

I really appreciate the reply, brother! I want to give it a try. Right now, my only dilemma is that I have to break service with T-Mobile and payoff the rest of this Note 3. I really like the Note 3. But, I am finding that I do want to try something different. As much as I like Android, I'm...

New WP 1520 owner! Galaxy Note 3 to Nokia 1520

I need to work up the courage to do this! What did you end up doing for GMail and Google Maps? Those are the two Google Apps that I use a lot. Did you just use the browser for both? Or does the built-in Email client for Windows Phone 8 handle GMail pretty well? Or, did you completely switch to...

"Satya Nadella must kill Windows Phone and fork Android" Geez...

That would be legit. I'd be a customer from day one, as long as the price is reasonable.

"Satya Nadella must kill Windows Phone and fork Android" Geez...

Getting rid of Windows Phone and "forking" Android is a HORRIBLE idea. I don't see the benefit to doing such a thing: maybe because there is no benefit. We don't need more Android devices. What we need is more choices in the marketplace. As Blackberry seems to no longer be in the running, we...

Android user thinking of switching to 520. How will life be different?

I mainly use my phone for music, GPS, texting, and surfing the web. I don't use many apps, and the few times I use Facebook, I use the browser version because I do not trust the app. I really like Android, but I think it's time to try new things. I never thought I'd buy an iOS product, but here...

Android user thinking of switching to 520. How will life be different?

No offense to you, but that definitely sounds like user error. I say that, because I've had to question the validity of some apps that are posted to the Play Store. But, with that said, does anyone here know Microsoft's policy regarding app submissions? Is it stricter than Google's? I'm...

What is the best smart phone of 2013?

Hopefully, 2014 will bring more storage to every phone. 16GB is starting to get stale. Even 32GB isn't that much, anymore.

What is the best smart phone of 2013?

Although I have the Nexus 5, the Lumia 1520 is the best smartphone (of 2013), to me. Nokia's hardware is beautiful and is largely unmatched. And, It's the only bigger-screened smartphone with a GREAT camera. It also helps that Windows Phone is starting to become more polish, and more and more...

    Google Should Be Afraid.

Well, better is subjective. Microsoft's ecosystem works better for him than the others. So, technically, he's not wrong, lol.

    Google Should Be Afraid.

Microsoft definitely has a hit on its hands with Windows Phone 8. And, they have a great opportunity to really build a great ecosystem, tying in the desktop, mobile, and xBox one platforms. I just wish they would take a more hands-on approach with Windows Phone. And, in my opinion, instead of...

    Bluetooth Earpiece Recommendations?

I apologize for replying to this comment a little late. The Plantronics headset I use works for phone calls only, as it doesn't support the A2DP protocol. The Kinivo can work for phone calls and music, but I normally only wear them to the gym, when I know that I won't be taking any phone calls...

    Bluetooth Earpiece Recommendations?

I use Plantronics. Radio Shack and Amazon have them for $30, sometimes less. The call quality and battery life are great, and the pairing process is very simple (compared to some other brands). If you're looking for Bluetooth headphones, I recommend Kinivo. They're selling on Amazon for less...
