    Rubber strap splitting on Band2

I'm sorry to hear quality issues with Band 2. While I still use Band 1 every day, I was considering taking advantage of the Band 2 sale and my Amazon gift card to purchase a Band 2 for $125. Based on these issues, though, I think I'll pass.

    Band #1 still going strong

Got it in November of 2014 and still works fine after countless races and training runs. It'll need replacement at some point, but I'll cross that bridge when I come to it.

Anyone else ready to Jump ship?

Maybe I just got lucky, but other than occasionally having to re-pair my Band 1 with my iPhone and some spotty sync issues, I've had tremendous luck with it holding up since I bought it at release. While it's clearly showing it's wear, my Band has survived three marathons, three half marathons...

    Microsoft Band 2 Iphone Features

I cannot imagine any scenario that would have Microsoft (or Apple) allowing Siri to access the Band, or Cortana for iOS (rumored to be in production) to do the same thing. Sure, Bluetooth headphones might be able to do this, but they're not directly competing with Windows Phones or iPhones...

Fondling the Band 2 with Photos + Hot Tip

I'm not getting it (sticking with my Band 1 for now), but if I were getting it, I'd still wear it with the face down because of the awkwardness of viewing the time and notifications if it were face-up.

Underwhelmed by *new* microsoft Band Announcement

I'm on the fence as to whether I will upgrade. Part of the reason is that as an iPhone owner, the new Band doesn't offer much more functionality than my current one does, at least on iOS. If I owned a Windows Phone (love the new phones, btw), I definitely would jump on Band 2, but I may wait a...

I cleared you, notification! So why do you keep coming back?

To solve the issue, I have been clearing the old notifications from my phone. That seems to have worked so far.

How many times have you had to get your band fixed?

Not one time - have had it since day one. A few software glitches, but that's it.

    GPS Problem

I reset my Band (again), and that seemed to fix the GPS issue - picked up a signal immediately after pushing the button. I hope the next iteration of the Band has a better way to deal with that problem.

    GPS Problem

Just as a follow-up (and not a good one, I might add), I did a 4 mile run this morning close to my home (I've run there a million times) but had trouble getting a GPS lock. I didn't start running until it locked, which took two times telling me that it couldn't lock. It finally locked, but I...

    GPS Problem

That's happened to me as well - actually happened on Wednesday. At first, I couldn't get any signal in an area in which I have run before, so I rebooted the Band, and it eventually found the signal. My guess is that GPS lost its signal at some point and never got it back, since I have...

Band steps syncing to Map My Run

I played 2 hours of tennis yesterday and, in the process, accumulated a ton of steps. I used the "workout" tile on the Band to track my stats. My friends and I are doing a step challenge via Map My Run/Map My Fitness, so naturally, I expected all 10,000+ steps to transfer. However, that did not...

    Software Update??

I hope it's soon and addresses some of the GPS hiccups while adding a "walk" tile.

    GPS lock timed out

My last three runs with the Band have included long waits for the GPS lock. I'm hoping a software update at some point will fix it.

Apple Watch vs. Band: Distance Accuracy

I love that the Band has built-in GPS and offers more accurate results than the Apple Watch does. That said, I've had difficulty locking onto a GPS signal for my last three runs (in wide open space, no buildings in sight) and actually had to reboot my Band before the GPS finally kicked in. I...
