My favorite Cortana feature was one of the first to be disabled, location-based actions. I used it to turn off sounds when arriving at some places I went to on a regular schedule. I think Cortana's peak was at its launch. It has been a long downhill slide since then.

In Android 10, there is a system setting to control this. Settings/System/Gestures/System Navigation. This gives you several choices. One of them is 3-button navigation which will restore the Recents button.

I moved from a Lumia 950 XL to a Pixel 2. The Pixel 2 camera was a very pleasant surprise, and I have to agree with the others who feel it outperforms the 950 XL. I think I'll probably skip Pixel 3 and see what comes after that.
