i used to have issues with usb devices disconnecting also, but this was fixed while back; when i had problems , rebooting the pc would fix the issue (if i docked with the sb off, it was fine, going up from sleep give me problems) it was a pain in the *** when your on the phone with your wifi...

well, thats too bad.. for me its not just so much apps, but icons on the desktop, they are very small after undocking. yea, reboot fixes it, but its a pain when going to meetings

does this fix desktop icon scaling also when un-docking from external monitor?

those scaling issues drive me crazy, on ms own hardware no less.

hi, is anyone running win 10 insider beta's on their surface and has the ms dock with external monitors? can u tell me if they made any improvements to individual monitor screen scaling? right now if i un-dock, i have to log off/back in to reset screen scaling of win32 apps...

your not the only one with this issue, i the same surface model, and 2 dell monitors setup, i have the same issue as you, (my 2 co-workers also..) if your monitors do not power on after waking up the pc, unplug the dock connector from the laptop, wait for it to register that its un-plugged...

what happens when you try to pull updates again? if this was a normal device, i would say delete it, and reboot, it will be reinstalled on next reboot, but since this is Firmware related, i would contact ms support to be on the safe side. so far my SB is working well, its still early, but...

just reboot again; one of the updates failed for me too, it installed fine on next reboot

sorry, i didnt replay sooner, i use remote desktop manager, what i forgot to mention is you need to uncheck display scaling start > type remote desktop manager > right click, open file location, when you see the file, properties, Comparability tab, and uncheck Disable display scaling on high...

remote desktop connection manager works fine, i use it all the time, no need to change resolution. go to properties of the server you have there, Remote Desktop Settings > click the "Same as client area" option.

i started to use this dock with my surface book plus 2 dell monitors connected using display port. issue i have is that if pc goes to sleep, when you wake it up, monitors dont turn back up. laptop screen is on, network connectivity is on, but screens remain off... so if i had to pay for it...
