Yup!! Sorry.. I dint see the first post after keying on... And yes may be I should try a new card. I was running on a class 6 Kingston 32 GB card. I would try it with a class 10 card today. Hopefully it would not cause any more trouble.

well I'm not all that of a technical expert, but with the help from guys at XDA I swapped the default 16 GB with an 32 GB card on the 7 Surround. the phones prompts a message if you had to reinstall the operating system.
