T-Mobile tech support was very helpful and patient. Guy figured out that under Sim Setting, the Internet APN and MMS APN were wiped clear, gone. He talked me through how to set them up again and it's back to working.

Tried it once a couple of days after purchase and actually forgot it existed until I saw this thread, lol.

It's strange. In the app - settings - notifications. "PLAY A SOUND" is not highlighted. Wait, I just clicked SHOW NOTIFICATION BANNER off and on again and the sound one lit up. I just checked it. Thanks this hopefully will work.

As far as I know I've hit every notification option and settings option and I simply cannot get a sound to play for new email.

Can this phone be restarted? Twice now I have lost sound for some reason, on all apps including text/email notifications so I had to restart. But I'm not seeing a restart option so I have to totally power down then start. A little annoying.
