    no. Interop unlocking is not the same as flashing a new firmware/rom. interop unlocking is just editing a few registry values. Very simple if you own a 1st gen WP7. Later versions are more difficult I think.

    After deleting the Facebook app, Twitter is functioning better but still not perfectly. I get toasts for some mentions but not others. Really not sure what's going on.

    So randomly it has just stopped working. The thing is Twitter was one of the best apps when it came to prompt delivery of notifications, but now nothing. Anyone else experiencing this?

    For like 6 months no apps worked in the background. Uninstalling Facebook fixed that finally. But despite the fact they now at least somewhat work, I stilll find it to be an inconsistent experience. Twitter has stopped working & WPC too.

    Push notifications not working!!!

    Uninstalled FB app and my phone lit up like an Xmas tree. Notifications everywhere! Reinstalled FB app and made sure to not enable push notifications for that app specifically. Everything else is now 100% perfect.

    WP7 does not currently support sending images via app or website to inbox.

    If you're comfortable interop unlocking your phone and installing a homebrew app then yes (this is what I did), otherwise no.

    7.8 has guaranteed support for security related issues up to Sep 2014. After that, zilch.

    Bar security updates which are guaranteed until Sep 2014, don't count on any new functionality.

    Yeah pretty much agree. After im done with WP7, I doubt I'll stick with windows phones. But I may still use this phone for another year

    WP7 IE9m does have some functionality issues, specifically those that require swiping. Nothing can be done about it.
