I don't have any insider build on my SP3, but it's worth noting I also have issues at cold boot. I won't get the spinning dots below the Surface logo and nothing will happen until I do a hard reset. I don't think it's an issue with just this insider build, but might become more of an issue.

Probably just a firmware issue with the 950. I haven't heard of other phones having this particular issue.

If you go into Settings > Accounts > Your email and accounts > Yahoo > "Change mailbox sync settings", there should be a setting at the top to "Always download full message and Internet images". Try checking this and see if it helps.

You might be on to something here. I recently did a factory reset like you suggested and the echo has been gone for the past 2 days. Before the reset I had trained Cortana to learn my voice, but after the reset I have Hey Cortana enabled, but haven't trained her voice yet. So it might not be Hey...

No need to call back to fix it. Just put them on hold for a second and it'll clear it up. Some people have even said muting might work too, although I haven't personally tried it.

Just a quick update after a week: The echo is definitely a problem only with incoming calls. If someone does call you and they're getting the echo, just toggle "hold" and "unhold." It should fix the issue. I've decided not to bring my device back to the ATT store and I'll stick it out, hoping...

Go to settings > system > phone > cellular & sim settings > sim settings. The option to enable HD voice is under "Enhanced 4G LTE Services." Not sure if the location to find the settings is different for unlocked phones.

Works fine here on a branded phone. Keep in mind HD voice only works between two compatible phones.

Windows 10 has moved towards being letting apps control syncing contacts rather than simply adding the accounts like you did in 8.1. I imagine syncing contacts using that LinkedIn app should work like the twitter or skype app. The problem is lies on the fact the LinkedIn app hadn't been updated...

re: Is the Lumia 950 an embarrassment? I find Edge to still be a nightmare on the desktop (has anyone actually tried using Edge with wcentral? It's terrible). However, my experience with mobile edge has been great. It actually feels quite faster than IE.
