Hi, I managed to replace and fix my surface's screen myself. Only took a couple of hours, used the iFixit guide as a er... guide! You just need a steady hand. As for connectors, there are a few zif connectors in there, just look up on YouTube and you'll see how easy they are to undo/redo once...

Having gone through the trauma of replacing the screen of my surface myself I can confidently say that replacing the kickstand is very easy indeed! All you will need is a T4 torx screwdriver and about 5 minutes of your time. Looking at the eBay link above though that seems to be the whole back...

Well I managed to source a new screen and its on its way... Gonna fit it myself, daunting but I'm always up for a challenge!

The unspeakable has happened... My surface fell off my lap at work and the screen has cracked, I am so very cross with myself. :angry: Is there anywhere in the UK that would be able to repair it? Only had it for a couple of months and it has been my full time work companion. Please help!!

I force updated my Titan a couple of days ago through Zune, (UK, unbranded.) Went from 8017 - 8112 - 8773, then did an HTC update. My phone info appears as the first screenshot in this thread. So far no issues.

I like the idea, I know plenty of people here in the UK that swear by Blackberry phones, though I think something needs to happen sooner rather than later because the Blackberry users I know are a dying breed. They seem to be mostly turning to iPhone... I have never used a Blackberry myself, but...
