Constant dropped calls and Bluetooth issues

I have this same issue. I posted on the Microsoft forum with some things to try: https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/surface/forum/all/surface-duo-calls/77367b93-a940-4473-978b-d1cf73a888d1?auth=1 For me, going into the setup menu from the dialer (using *#*#4636#*#*) and setting the preferred...

What is the best phone/update combination?

Re: Best phone/update combination I'm using a Note 4 right now, and am generally an Android user so I'm no stranger to large phones. I have no issues with a larger phone, but wouldn't mind something smaller at times too.

What is the best phone/update combination?

Best phone/update combination Hey Everyone - If I want to go back and try Windows Phone again, what is going to give me the best experience as far as phone and latest OS goes? Carrier doesn't matter (as long as it's US). I'm just looking for the best experience in a Windows Phone, but also...

    Who's Ordering Today?

A lot of people commenting on HTC and the lack of support and pushing updates. It's not like that anymore. For Android updates, HTC will have the update ready for carriers within 90 days after the new OS version is released. I'm sure they will do the same with Windows. They know how...

up to 75% longer battery life with WP over Android? :-o

If it truly does get that much better battery life, it would be awesome. My Android M8 gets great battery life, and I don't have power saving mode yet (Verizon). If I can get the same apps and do the same stuff on the Windows M8, AND get better battery life, I'm all for it.

What Happened to $99 Price? Showing as $199

I still see it as $199. I wonder if it's by location...

    Who's Ordering Today?

You can't beat the company discount. Maybe AT&T will get it soon. I don't know what it is with HTC and Verizon. I think Verizon pushes HTC phones more than other carriers, so maybe that's why it's an exclusive. Or maybe because they did a similar thing with the Android M8, who knows...

    Who's Ordering Today?

Head over to AndroidCentral and to the M8 forum there The camera isn't bad, and it captures low light pics better than any other Android phone. The whole "camera sucks" thing is so over rated with the M8. Unless you plan to print out poster size prints of your cat or the plate of food you had...

    Who's Ordering Today?

Are you not from the US? If you are, walk into a Verizon store tomorrow and pick one up.

    Who's Ordering Today?

So who's going to order one today, and who's waiting to get one from a store tomorrow? I'm currently using an M8 - Android, and it's my favorite between my Galaxy S5 and iPhone 5s. I like it even better than my Note 3. A lot of that is because of the software, but it's a beautiful phone...

    Store Availability

I see on the Surface 2 page that the Surface 2 will be available at BestBuy, Staples and WalMart (among others). Will they be available tomorrow (the 22nd), or sometime down the road? I really hope I don't have to drive the 120 miles like I did last October 26th to a Microsoft store to get...

    Backing Out of Messages

Thanks for the replies. Backing out is just an habit of having Android for so long I guess. And I don't back out of every Android app, just most. I'll go with just using the Home button for now and see how it goes.

    Backing Out of Messages

I know this is a general Windows Phone question, but since I'm working with a 928 for a project I'm working on, I figured I'd as it here... When I use Android, I'm used to backing out of all the apps. On my iPhone, there is no backing out. Windows Phone seems similar to Android is that it's...

ThinkPad Tablet 2 vs Surface RT

Take a look at the HP Envy x2 as well. I get 11+ hours of battery life out of mine when it's docked. It's lightweight and you can undock it and use it as a tablet when needed. But like 12Danny123 said, if you need to run any traditional Windows app, skip the RT.

Can Surface be controlled by WP remote desktop app?

I use my Surface RT sometimes for PowerPoint presentations. I'm not always able to sit near the Surface, so I just use my Bluetooth mouse (you could also use a normal wireless mouse) to control the Surface. The range is pretty good. So you could get a track pad mouse or similar and just have...
