Windows 10 on Lumia 830 : yes or no, is it ready, any major bugs?

Oh yeah, I also had tearing in the start screen and screen blackouts. Battery life was good with .164, no complaints. I started out fresh, didn't use an old backup, though I did a hard reset after the update to .164.

Windows 10 on Lumia 830 : yes or no, is it ready, any major bugs?

I just reverted back to 8.1. a few days ago. Camera quality was worse on W10M .164, the now standard Lumia Camera algorithms produce dull photos. Not to mention 'adding final touches' procedure slows down picture taking in W10M. And like in the above comments glance is worse with a smaller...

Help wanted: unable to downgrade back to 8.1 from win10

Thanks for your input. First it starts by putting my 830 into writing mode, phone switches off and restarts, then comes the infamous phase of checking anti-theft - and the function immediately fails. Phone restarts again and WDRT just states function failed please try again. I've done this...

Help wanted: unable to downgrade back to 8.1 from win10

When I try to downgrade through Windows Device Recovery Tool (Lumia Recovery Tool isn't working), it always fails in the anti-theft phase. No matter how different USB ports I use, disable firewall and run the program as system administrator, take out microSD, reset the 830 to factory settings...

    Nokia Lumia 930: User Reviews

Switched back from an Android smartphone Sony Xperia Z2 to the Lumia 930. Android is simply a mess even with Lollipop, lacks unification and as I don't use that many apps it was easy choice. While the 930 heats up a bit - albeit less than when I got a week ago - and the screen sometimes flashes...

Why I came back to Lumia 1020?

Yeah the battery gets better after a few charging cycles. I actually think the 1020's standby-time is pretty good.

Why I came back to Lumia 1020?

It's definitely more matured experience than anything Lumia 900 had (I should know since I used to own that). What I've seen the camera in 1020 is totally different league than Nexus 5, apart from the shot-to-shot times...

Why I came back to Lumia 1020?

Oh forgot to mention the Lumia 1020 has two good additional things: show more tiles option and Nokia Creative Studio with collage function. Both features have been omitted from newer Lumias/updates...

Why I came back to Lumia 1020?

Yep, situation is similar in terms of availability in Finland. New ones aren't easily found. That's why I suggest everyone even vaguely interested in Lumia 1020's capabilities to grab one while they can...

Why I came back to Lumia 1020?

That's totally true, for me the 1020 offers currently the best price-quality ratio among the Lumia lineup.

Why I came back to Lumia 1020?

@ vEEP pEEP About a month. I usually switch phones quite often....if the 930 would've had glance and those quality issues nonexistent I probably would've kept it longer.

Why I came back to Lumia 1020?

Last year I had the Lumia 1020, but switched it for 925 during summer. Fast forward to the end of 2014/beginning of this year and during the past four months I've had Lumia 830, 930 and 735. However I just switched back to 1020. Why? Here's my reasoning: -Lumia 830 was a solid device, sleek and...
