One issue that has plagued the Xbox since it's existence is the lack of bitperfect playback for Audio CDs and digital audio files. All Xbox consoles resample all audio to 48khz which results in the degradation of sound quality of 44.1khz sources. Why has Microsoft not added this feature yet...
