New HTC firmware update - changes?

Though I do not disagree with your statements and claims, for better or for worse, I'm a bi t more optimistic. At the end of the day they're here to make as much profit as they can, and with no government wireless carrier and powerless regulators, consumers are left "stimulating" the economy.

New HTC firmware update - changes?

its mostly because our carriers have their own software (most of which is bloatware) and need to make sure their software and the hardware will still work on their network. ultimately it comes down to the fact that most people call their carrier when they run into problems, not the manufacturer...

    Just Hotspot'd My Radar.

Also, the "speed" you get is just the connection speed between you and the phone. Just like any wifi router you may have at home...your connection to the router maybe 72mbps or up to 300mbps for some advanced home routers, but your actual speed is dependent on the network, your environment...

    Just Hotspot'd My Radar.

I use this feature almost every morning commuting to work for about 30-45 minutes on my iPad. No problems (unless i have no service on some routes). And t-mobile is still offering the promo for their 5 or 10gb plans to add on free tethering - which is great. i'd hop on these deals before they...

    Radar Update yesterday

Those are my numbers exactly. I have checked on both Zune (Windows) and WP 7 Connector (Mac) - no more updates.

    Radar Update yesterday

There was an HTC update a few weeks ago that popped up when I checked for updates again, immediately after the installation of the Windows 8107 update. That's probably the update you installed - especially if it took a long time for it to install. That update didn't really change my phone...

Is there a way to turn on the phone without the battery door?

I also did the repair process, they had told me over the phone to not include the cover and it also said so in the instructions provided...but we all make mistakes. Sometimes a local store will give one to you if they had one exchanged/returned for defective reasons...but they have to be pretty...

Is there a way to turn on the phone without the battery door?

Contact HTC. The antenna is part of the plastic cover, so even if you can power it on, your reception will be rubbish.

8107 for you Radar owners on T-Mo USA!

That is unfortunate. You may have to start fresh like I did. Things have been much better since. I restoration didn't help me. But you should certainly try that first. Good luck!

    WPCentral Nokia Lumia 710 Giveaway!

I do like contests. The squirrels in SF are not fearful of humans at all. In fact, they come right up to you. Taken with the GSII 4G (T-Mobile) before I got my Radar 4G. Arguably, the Radar's camera sensor and aperture are superior, but the software compression of the image really ruins the...

    Radar owners please help!!

In addition to what has already been said (all of which are true), gchat/talk is supported by 3rd party apps (which still suck IMO). gtalk video...not likely - though I haven't looked for it. Google maps is kind of supported by 3rd party app(s) but it's not that great compared with Android, or...

    Battery life on hotspot?

No problem. Yeah, for a budget WP device, this really is the best choice by far. I can certainly get a full 24 hours of use under light-moderate use with everything still synchronizing. Being able to last for 12 hours under moderate-heavy use is just perfect for me. This is seriously the...

    Battery life on hotspot?

I typically use my radar on the bus commute to work for ~35 minutes. I only connected my ipad to it. I'm also streaming "pandora" (metroradio) on it at the same time. It drops about 5% over that period of time. Pretty good IMO.

    Concerned about Radar on T-Mobile

as you know, a lot of factors contribute to real-world speeds. that being said, hardware and software play large roles in the experienced speed. i can have my galaxy s ii 4g (42mbps radio) and windows phone (14.4 mbps radio) and experience below 14mbps down on the Radar but experience 16mbps on...

8107 for you Radar owners on T-Mo USA!

problem: after the 8107 update and then after the HTC update (which took forever btw), I now don't have the HTC apps area in the market and the market keeps telling me the attentive app needs to be updated but it errors out each time. i've tried to reset and restore my phone, but the same...
