It seems to me like a better comparison would be the Nexus 5 and the Lumia 929. 5" AMOLED screen, 1080p, 2gb ram, 32gb storage (rumors of a 64gb version as well), 20 megapixel camera. I haven't seen any mention of price yet, but on paper this seems to be more of a 1:1 comparison. I still...
Honestly I'd be pretty happy if they simply consolidated some of the connectivity settings into a single menu. I don't really understand why there needs to be individual menus for wifi, cellular, Bluetooth, airplane mode, and tap and send.
I haven't played this yet, but I read some comments in the release article that said you could fix the white background issue by changing your phone's background from white to black. It's not really a true fix, but it sounds like a fairly simple workaround (assuming it works) until the...
In my opinion, whether or not her article is true or not doesn't really matter. The reason that people are calling it click-bait is because of its overly-dramatic title and then fails to bring anything new to the table. Her article pretty much only states what is already common knowledge and...
It is called storage check and it will show up under settings. I don't believe it actually comes with the firmware update. It should come as an update from the store. You can however manually look for the update by going here and using the QR codes...
I'm not a developer, though lately I have been looking into potentially learning how to develop for wp8/w8 and etc. In one of the recent WPC articles they mentioned the website geekchamp.com and there I found this WP8 training e-book:

I think the closest thing to what you are looking for that I have heard about is panasonic's 20inch tablet with 4k resolution. Though I suspect that the price will be astronomical until the price of 4k resolution tech comes down. Otherwise it seems like it would fit your usage needs fairly...
I have had the opposite experience. Turning on audio leveling greatly increases the volume for me. With audio leveling on and volume at 1 it sounds roughly equal to volume at 10 with audio leveling off. I'm using Sennheiser mm70i headphones.
I believe nokia is working on this at the moment.
Found a few articles with a quick bing search:

In my opinion Microsoft has been slow in the mobile industry, but not because of a lack of development. Instead the problem is Microsoft set themselves back by wasting 2 years developing a deadend OS in WP7. After realizing their mistake they rushed out WP8 in order to maintain what little...
That sounds like for whatever reason it thinks your keyboard is still connected. I wouldn't think that should matter on the surface and simply touching the screen/password input box should bring up the on-screen keyboard, but I don't have a surface to try it on. I'm using a Samsung Series 7...
An on-screen keyboard should automatically pop-up when you are at the password window when you are using touch. If you have a mouse/keyboard plugged in and are using that rather than the touchscreen then no keyboard will appear. As an alternative you can also click on the Ease of Access button...
The stores for WP8 and WinRT/Win8 are completely separate. This means apps/games purchased for windows phones will not transfer between WinRT/Win8 tablets or PCs. On the other hand, WinRT and Win8 share the same app store so purchased apps can be used interchangeably between WinRT/Win8...
Wow, that's terrible. I don't know if this feature is available where you live, but at least in the US you can use the find my phone feature from windowsphone.com to track where your phone is. It might be worth giving it a shot.
