This is so weird...I searched for "mcdonalds" and it worked (for the first time, I've never seen Microsoft Maps work before). Great. So I tried the "home depot" search again...fail. Then I tried "mcdonalds" again....no results. I don't get it. Whatever the problem is, I hope they fix it before...

Linux (technically, "Linux distributions") is very similar to Windows 10. They are both in perpetual beta. :-)

Example: search for "home depot". On HERE maps, I get a list of Home Depot stores, listed in order of proximity to my location. On Microsoft Maps, I get two irrelevant results (neither are Home Depot stores) in Oregon, and I'm nowhere near Oregon. MMaps does have my correct location, so that...

I'm trying to use it, but it seems completely broken. Search doesn't work. On the same phone, with the same maps, HERE maps works fine.

Maybe it's best to stay on 8.1 if you need maps.

Skype for Windows Phone (that works decently) would blow my mind. :-)

As far as I know all 640 screens are the same. In fact the att and tmbile 640s have the same hardware model number (RM-1073). I haven't fixed a 640, but if it?s like others...yes, get the glass with frame. Because otherwise you have to unglue/reglue, pain in the butt.

Regarding time/date problems, I found that turning off the "automatically set time/date" option can be beneficial, and strangely, it still sets the time/date automatically with this option off! But differently somehow...

It's not shipping with any phone besides the 950. Nor is it available as a normal upgrade (not Windows Insider) for any phone, including unlocked phones.

The important thing is how much money the Universal app devs are making. Good device sales are a necessary condition, but it's not enough. The users have to want the apps. In the past, there hasn't been much interest in apps - almost nobody downloaded the beta version of Firefox, for example. So...

Before doing that, they should develop "world class" apps for their own services. Why does Windows Phone have the worst Skype app, for example?
