Step into Android or go all out?

anthonyng Congrats on the new phone (Hadn't logged into the forums for awhile)! You're going to really like it. I am a fan of Microsoft Launcher as it has an alphabetical app list vs just screens and screens of app icons as well as the ability to cycle through a gallery of your photos for the...

Step into Android or go all out?

I moved to a Note 10+ this year for the pen...and I love it. I regularly use it to sketch out engineering diagrams for emails, specs. etc. I find it to be on par (in some cases better) than some of the inking functionality in Windows. Since the inking is Samsung specific I would avoid...

Have your gaming habits changed with age?

Maybe I'm just feeling nostalgic this morning but this thread to me is less about gaming and more looking in the mirror and realizing I'm not the same person I was 15 years ago. I'll never give up gaming 100% because it's an important link to my childhood. It's playing Joe and Mac with my...

Groove does not show album/artist anymore

It seems to be hit and miss for me. Out of my last three uploaded albums two worked like a champ, one has exactly the same problems you mentioned (Albums uploaded two weeks ago, can't remember when the last update was exactly). Hopefully it gets fixed, but no it's not just you!

    MS Launcher & Lock screen

Not just you, I've searched and can't find this option either. I'll post something if I find anything

The Galaxy S9 has a launch date, will it be the phone you jump to?

I do appreciate the Samsung Hardware but I can't get used to TouchWiz. Sounds like Samsung is cutting back on some of the older bloat which is great so I'll sit on the sidelines and see how it does on the S9. I would consider one though as I finally replaced my still functioning, but looking...

    Groove Music web player

I ran into the same issue (at work I used the web interface to play my tunes). I copied my OneDrive music into Google Play music (50,000 songs can be uploaded and played on the web/app interface for free). It's definitely not ideal as I loved the OneDrive integration, but I love playing my own...

Do notificiations work from the Fitbit Windows app to Fitbit devices?

Hello Dmartin and welcome to the forums. My wife uses an Alcatel Idol 4s on the latest version of Windows 10 mobile along with a Fitbit Charge 2. Notifications come in about 90% of the time but occasionally the odd one doesn't come through on the Fitbit. Not sure what the experiences are...

Why most of WP users switch to android and not iOS?

You summed up my thoughts exactly. I'm not a huge Google fan because of all the data collection, but as a tech junkie I wanted a flexible platform that I could tinker with while waiting for the bus. Android fits the bill for me in that regard. I don't know if I'll ever love the OS, but...

    What's your streaming plan now?

Having a large collection was my determining factor in the below. Loved the OneDrive + Groove Personal Collection & Streaming integration so I went with Google Play as it fits the bill, plus Edge on my 950XL can play music from the Google Play music site in the browser. The only area lacking...

Finally leaving the 950 behind - which Android phone is comparable?

Another upvote for the OnePlus here. Moved from a 950XL to a 3T and it's pretty solid. I miss WP, but stock android is slightly better than the skins that some manufactures layer over the system (Not 100% sure if Moto does this). Good luck and enjoy whatever you end up with!

    Watch ESPN

Interesting, I was watching the U.S. Open on mine last weekend and outside of a single hiccup (Over 2 hours use) it worked just fine. Hope you can get it working and hopefully the Galaxy version keeps working.

    Here I go begging again

Like libra89 said, check out Libby. It's actually fantastic and syncs your reading position over all your devices (Laptop, phone, phones with different OS). It's night and day difference from the old OverDrive app.

For Windows 10 Mobile users (What are you doing with your current device?)

950XL is my daily *weekday* phone as it can't be beat for work (Citrix Receiver on Continuum is a mind blower). OnePlus 3T is my weekend phone because I use it to watch MLB games on the AtBat app (Stupid I know but if not for that app Windows Mobile more than satisfies).

    Overdrive Media replaced by Libby

Thanks for the head's up, I'll give it a try. You can also read books in Edge (and save them for offline access for airline travel), works surprisingly nicely.
