Get an ASHA! xD Honestly, for the price and the usability, just get an older Nokia or HTC running windows 7.x. Works for what it seems you need it for, and I guarantee you it will serve you well for years to come. Just make sure it has a removable battery.

I'm not sure how it would work, update and hardware. I wonder if the OS wouldn't be as smooth on hardware not built specifically for the OS. I would rather just see the HTC logo swapped out with a windows logo capacitive button running WP8. :D
