Resuming still occurs, at least everywhere I am used to seeing it, but instead of the word resuming and the dots gliding in and off screen there is just a full screen flash of your theme colour - I don't know if this is supposed to disguise the wait in a less antagonising way, but I don't like it.

Just got a 920 three days ago too. I'm being very cautious about the battery because it seems a bit iffy to me (also the charging seems hellishly slow), but that might just be because new-phone-syndrome won't let me put the device down.

I always get stuck with a black phone, now I can't get a coloured shell for this one.

My Mother got one of these today, from Phones4u, from the sounds of it they had just received one today, it hasn't appeared on a lot of the networks' sign up systems so they weren't able to sell it through anyone but Vodafone. They only had black too - figured it could be changed later...

My account still says Order in Process, Delivery Date 02/11/12.

The money left my account after the initial preorder and then was restored. My cleared funds this morning are ?900 less than they were last night, so presumably they've charged me twice sometime in the night, but my bank isn't yet showing any details of the transaction.

Typing this on my Surface which I received just this morning. I'm in London and it was delivered by UPS, I had no word to say it was coming, no e-mail to say it had been dispatched. I was however a recipient of all the crazy e-mails Microsoft sent in error. Hope you all receive yours today as well.
