View Onedrive photos in android phone gallery

This is an old thread, but there is an answer for Samsung users. The Samsung default gallery app lets you bring in photos from OneDrive and other services.

Your experience using Surface Go as a tablet?

I see a lot of comments about Windows lacking as a tablet, but never specifcs of what they are missing. What do other tablets have that make them better? I don't have a Surface Go, but I use my SP4 in tablet mode almost exclusively at home. Pretty much any time I'm not typing, I'll have the...

Windows 10 still sucks as a tablet experience

I use tablet mode constantly and I think it's just fine. I would welcome further improvements, but I cant think of any "tablet features" iOS or Android have that windows needs. I haven't seen any specifics listed to explain what makes iOS or Android better for tablets. Please list specific...

Andromeda / Surface Phone will come with Android OS

For now, yes. If Google's dream of progressive web apps comes about, something like a parking app could easily be available for a Windows device like any other platform as a PWA. We aren't there yet obviously, which is probably why there is no "Andromeda" device for sale, and wont be for a...

Andromeda / Surface Phone will come with Android OS

There is no point. The only reason MS should ever make a phone-ish device would be if it advances Windows as mobile platform. Let Google find ways to promote Android as a mobile platform. Why should MS help them? They can make their apps an services available on Android (and iOS), but there's no...

    Progressive Web App (PWA) list

Some already do. I'm sure you've been to mobile sites that ask for permission to access your location. This will be extended. As for storing data for offline use, that should go to a dedicated space that is isolated. That wont give the app access to go all over your file system.

It's now "2018" with music gone from the MSFT Store how are buying your music?

If I really like an artist, I buy the physical CD, preferably from the artist directly. If not direct, then usually from Amazon. For content I already own, I play in Groove. For everything else, I'm currently using Spotify. Its not great, but the family price is pretty good. I definitely...

Cortana App vs MS Launcher Cortana on Android

I cant think of I time when I've made use of the default assistant feature. When I want to use Cortana, I now use it from the launcher, or if I want to type a question instead of speaking, or see the status of a package, weather, or other such data, I open the app. It would be nice to see the...

    Touchscreen vs No Touchscreen

IMO, it depends on what you do with your computer. If you 100% sit at a desk and do a lot of typing on classic desktop type apps, then you may have no need for a touch screen. If you find you might want to watch Netflix, or sit on the couch in tablet/touch mode surfing the web, email, etc, you...

    The future of Continuum.

Continuum is dead. From now on, it will just be external monitors and other peripherals plugged into a Windows device.

Best android alternative to Lumia 950

I went with the Galaxy S8 because it had the most Lumia features I could find - Glance/Always On display - OLED Screen - Wireless Charging - Good Camera I also like Samsung Pay and the more extensive skinning abilities Samsung allows with their version of Android. I was able to get closest...

What do you miss most about Windows 10 Mobile?

Live Tiles/Home Screen System wide dark them that many apps inherited Cortana was better on WP, "hey Cortana" Windows Phone Camera App Dedicated Camera shutter button Lumia Cinemagraphs Better calendar and contacts integration with Outlook.com Maps - I actually like WP apps better than Google...

    Possible retrenchment from MS

I'm pretty much out. Microsoft is a business company now, like IBM. They still have Xbox and some gaming interests, but I expect over 5 yrs that will be gone too. I like Windows. I really liked Windows Phone, but they have less and less to offer me now as a consumer. I'm interested in wearables...

How many good apps are needed to fill the app gap ? What do you think?

Re: Its all about Developers! Developers! Developers😂 Web access doesn't deposit checks into my bank account. An app does that. Web access doesn't connect to my smart scale and set it up. An app does that. Web access doesn't connect to my home automation. An app does that. Web access doesn't...

How many good apps are needed to fill the app gap ? What do you think?

There are no more Windows Phones - just old ones people are still using. There will likely not be any new devices running Windows Mobile or Windows Phone. The app gap doesn't matter any more. Even if the platform had a future, its no so much how many apps are needed to fill the gap, its will the...
