USB DVD player for Surface RT - Anyone use one?

So, I had to order one and try it. From Amazon, I ordered: LG GP10NB20 Portable 8X Slim DVD+/-RW External Drive (Black) The web site description said it needed one USB connection but the DVD came with a "Y" USB cable for two USB connections on the PC. Anyway, I plugged the portable DVD into...

USB DVD player for Surface RT - Anyone use one?

I was wondering if anyone uses a DVD player with a Surface RT? If so, are there ones that work better than others? e.g. I noticed some USB DVD burner/readers used two USB cables -- one for power and one for data. That would be a bit of a problem on a Surface. I don't think I'll need the "write"...

    Civ Revolutions

So, I get a bunch of these military units moving around. Exploring. Sometimes they defeat a village. And, they get wiped out if they attack a city. Once I saw a symbol to combine two units. But, it would be better to combine more of them. Is there a way to do that? Is there a web page you'd...

    Civ Revolutions

Civ Revolutions trial - getting started? I've got the Civ Rev trial. It runs fine. But, I don't see how you get started with this game. I see how you can move your "warrior" around. But, I don't see how you expand the city or build new cities or do anything besides moving. And, there are...

    Recommendations for Development Laptop needed

Laptop Recommendation needed for development My Dell XPS M1530 with 3gb ram is definately not enough any more! It has too many quirks, too slow, and is running Vista. It can't edit video. The emulator takes several minutes to start. The USB ports are, I don't know, sub-standard in that I can't...

    Just got the 12070 update!

I have an unlocked, unbranded Lumia 800 on AT&T (in Michigan.) Plugged in my phone for a sync and was notified of the firmware update. It installed in about a half hour and seems to be working fine so far. I hope the battery life is improved!!! It wasn't bad before, but more is better of course.

Unlocked Lumia 800 on ATT GoPhone?

I'm using an unlocked Lumia 800 on AT&T with the GoPhone plan. When I went to the AT&T store for a sim card, they "helped" me to get the right plans. So, I have the 100MB data plan too -- costs about $40/month for 250 minutes and 100MB. Works for me OK since most everything is on WiFi.

Will you get a Windows 8 tablet?

I'm hoping for something a bit larger than a tablet - like a laptop with touch screen.

    Nokia Lumia Call Quality

I have an unbranded Lumia 800 on AT&T. The sound quality is excellent. I can hear callers as well or better than our land line. Callers tell me that I sound "normal, like a real person". No tunnel effect.

    GPS Off from actual location

With my Nokia 800 (and probably all devices) the GPS is more accurate with a clear view to the sky. Without that it uses "assisted GPS" which I find to be off by a block or sometimes a mile. Is there a setting for GPS accuracy in the app you are using? If so set it to the highest. Sent from my...

    Screen is awesome

This Lumia 800's display works great in daylight! My Focus is nearly unreadable outdoors. If you need to read your screen in sunlight, this is the phone to get. Sent from my Lumia 800 using Board Express
