I'm having the same problem on my Idol 4S since the 1709 update (then a factory reset). Has anyone found a resolution for this?

In my old Icon there is a Equalizer setting. Is there a way to add this to the Idol 4S or is there a way in Groove or a 3rd party app to adjust the sound?

I spoke to my Verizon corporate sales goon today: Apparently there were two versions of the Icon. He believes the 1st was retired and the 2nd version will get Cyan/WP8.1 soon (can you believe it?) The goon offered to research the Icon retirement situation and get back to me tomorrow - more to come!

Perhaps this explains why both MS and VZW refuse to say anything. Additionally, perhaps VZW gave up waiting for a firmware fix.

On a side note, my Verizon sales goon claims the Nokia Tablet 2520 power keyboard "is now obsolete with no additional quantities coming in". Its available at ATT. Perhaps Verizon is eventually dropping support for all Lumia devices, not just the Icon.
