If you're looking for more for a basic To-Do list, TinyDO is great. Evernote is much more feature filled and great if you want sync'd cross-platform, and document sharing to just about any desktop/mobile OS.

I agree. I thought part of the point of models like the 521 was to get people into the ecosystem, and then get them to upgrade to better models. The 521-->1320 path seems a natural. Oh well, I don't work at MS or Nokia, so what can I do about it?
