    Dell's discounted UltraSharp 32 monitor is a budget-friendly 4K beast for under $1,000

BTW, Best Buy has had this for $860 for a while now. I got one a few weeks back and it is an outstanding display. Dell UltraSharp 31.5" LCD 4K UHD Monitor (DisplayPort, USB, HDMI) Black, Silver DELL-U3223QE - Best Buy

So who has pre ordered a Surface Go?

I was going to, but the 128GB i5 Pro with type cover deal got my dollars instead. I may still get one for the wife, though. Her upstairs and patio device (Surface 2) is getting a little long in the tooth...

Is lack of apps the real WP problem?

...and to all that say they don't need that many apps or have all they need, one quality app experience is all it can take to make your life easier. Little things like an official Sonos app or local news and weather can make a big difference.

Is lack of apps the real WP problem?

Apps are the reason I now let my 950XL sit lonely. The Nexus 6P has been Microsofted as much as possible with Office, Groove, OneDrive, Outlook, Cortana and Arrow. Happily using bank apps to deposit checks, far better user experience for all the home automation apps, better multitasking and app...

I keep coming back to Windows Phone

Re: I Keep coming back to WP Ready when I can get the support from devs. Windows 10 on ARM will likely be the thing that does it as most app isses fall away with a real OS. Home automation, banking, smart wifi systems, etc., all better on Android. I want to be back in the loving arms of...

My trip from iOS (iPhone 6s) to Windows 10 (Lumia 950 XL).

Were you under contract in the 6s? You may need to contact the tech support people to enable the IMEI. I am currently unlocked with ATT so switching phones now it's no big deal, but when I went from my ATT 1020 to an unlocked 830, it required a call to tech support before the phone started...

Buy 950 XL, get 950 free promo?

A coworker wanted a dual-SIM phone and I wanted to mess around with the 950XL, so we tag-teamed a pair from the Microsoft Store. So far, so good, white 950 XL in pocket, set up form the Lumia 830 I last used, a couple of app install glitches, but otherwise, fully set up and running. Happy to be...

New firmware has killed my Windows Hello

Happened to me, the clipboard release was really slow, as well. I just shut down and restarted. I also disabled hello and re-set it up to clean up login. All good now.

Anyone using their Surface just as a tablet with no keyboard?

The wife never uses the keyboard cover. Sleeve, maybe, but she leaves it sitting around like you would any other tablet.

Solution to the battery drain on sleep problem

I'll be more political, Ted. It is a workaround, not a solution, but I appreciate your suggestion and I may use it.

    new firmware update available

Yup. Had these. So fed up. I love this display. It is sooo good but I can't stand having a compromised device. It sucks.

Did you already try the F1/F2 keys that control brightness?

AUSTOROTATE ON - get the pop up at random times...

I get the notification pop up, middle of browsing sessions, while not doing anything. I know it is another display driver/Edge problem, so hopefully a fix is coming, just curious if y'all have seen it, too.

Hey Microsoft!!! Fix your Surface Book before it dies!

OK, a couple restarts - Again, still no flicker, no oddities. I haven't disabled Hyper-V. I am about to bravely undock the display. Update: Undock worked. App failed. All is good after a restart. Update 2: Had BSOD when turning off auto screen brightness. Appears to be related to keyboard...
