Thanks for the replies. The soft reset doesn't work and for some reason I can't do a hard reset. I've followed the instructions, but the phone never gets to the exclamation mark screen. It's been about 15 hours worth of cogs and wheels and the phone turns itself off, then on every minute or so...

My Nokia 1020 has spent the past 5 hours trying to download the f***ing 8.1 update. For the past hour or so it's been showing the cogs spinning, then the Nokia startup screen, then the cogs again. What do I do? Help please!
