Thank you all, it seems that the transparent skin on the back was the problem..i have a dark wood skin from skinomi on the back now and the flash no longer produces the hazy region at the top right of images....

I have noticed no problems with the protector on..i have a skinomi on mine, and I switched to it from armorsuit

Hey, U can just buy any of the full body skins for the Lumia 1020,like from skinomi, and just use the piece for the camera hump..i just have the piece for the camera hump installed have switched from using a gel case to no case.

Well,having used both android and Nokia belle fp2, I have the following reasons: 1) no lag in windows o.s...comparing to even android...even the animations to open the apps and for switching screens are quicker 2)somehow, I don't prefer ios, maybe because it is kind of bland and restricts users...

Nice. I actually have an armorsuit clear skin on just the camera hump to protect the metal plate...and all the engravings are still seen..which to me looks pretty cool. IMHO the carbon fiber film takes the character out of the 1020 as the entire phone appears black with stripes and nothing...
