i have used this method/tool from the XDA-Developers Forum. It does backup and restore the phone completely and I have been doing a backup of my phone pretty much every week. This works only on one phone. you cannot replace the device and use the old phone's back up to restore on to the new one...

I pre-ordered my phone and my friend bought it from store.... we both exchanged it for the white and we didn't have to pay the restocking fee

I exchanged my black Lumia 900 for white one and I have the same purple keyboard/scroll line problem in the dim light. will it be fixed or does anyone think it is defective unit so that we can get it replaced? anyone else who got white Lumia 900 is not having this issue?

you need to have AT&T plan to get the $100 credit. It will be credited to your bill. Thats what Phil @Nokia conversations said in one of the comments.

No, it is not a hard reset. its more like a soft reset. It does not delete any data from your phone. People who used Nokia Symbian like N8 will probably know this method.

try doing this: hold the volume up button, power button and camera button until the device restarts. it fixed my data problem.. hopefully it stays like that until there is an official fix

i tried this method: hold the volume up button, power button and camera button together until the device shuts down and restarts. now the data works fine now.... hopefully this will fix for others as well

how do we check if AT&T has the IMEI and sim number on my account correctly? Can you check under your account or you have to call CSR?

i already have my black Lumia 900...... and most likely i will exchange it for the white one when it releases on the 22nd ;)
