Oh, that's unfortunate :unhappy: Did you buy the phone used? maybe the previous owner tried entering an unlock code too many times, and now it's permanently locked. I know most phones have a limit (10 I think) tries before it gets permanently SIM locked.

Hey! I don't have an 8X so I can't test this on my own, but try entering ##782# into the dialer. I think it should open the unlock code screen for you to enter in your code. Hope this helps!
