Microsoft is not one of the vendors listed on Intel's website that are addressing Intel-SA-00086 security vulnerabilities, so if MS doesn't issue updates soon for Surface products, does this indicate that there is no way to block remote access, as the ME is too integrated into multiple systems...

There was a leak last week about a device HP will release in December. I'm possibly interested if the Intel SA 00086 vulnerabilities aren't addressed for the Surface Pro, although the Snapdragon 835 has had its own security problems.

Is MS able to provide updates to mitigate the possibility of remote access or is the ME (which I don't understand well) so embedded in multiple systems that I should not wait for MS to do anything and return this device, and go with something manufactured by Lenovo, HP, Dell, or another company...
