It's a Surface Pro 4 with the i7 and 16GB of RAM. I have another SP4 with the i5 and 8GB, which is working fine.

In my case there is no high CPU usage, it's not clocking down anymore when idling. Before the update it would idle around 0.6GHz, now it is constantly running at 3.3GHz, even without any load on the CPU.

Almost the same here, since the latest update. I noticed that my CPU is not slowing down anymore when idling, constantly between 3.2 and 3.3 GHz.

Battery life seems worse with this update.
