Don't know how helpful this is, but I only got mine on the 2nd; after endlessly checking daily it downloaded automatically. It's annoying, but you should give it a few more days.

Check your Glance settings, you may have night mode on, cant think of another reason.

The 950s should be no less compatible than the six and five series. Perhaps the comment pertains to third party devices. Im sure the 950 has the necessary hardware. The 950 has an AMOLED screen, so that shouldn't be an issue.
