This is precisely my problem-is it a fault with the phone itself then? It's a right pain. Doesn't happen often, but has now done it twice in the last 24 hours.

After I listen to 'music' (it's actually a language course) on my 925, I press 'pause' at the end of the lesson, then-for a time-on pressing the volume button, the 'rewind-play-fast forward' symbols appear on the lock screen, or main screen, enabling me to carry on from where I paused. However...

It did look like that, but with no Nokia device showing.... Anyway, this morning is all still working fine, so let's hope that's it! Thanks for your help and guidance guys.

Ok, finally! Having uninstalled NSU but left all the other stuff it installed (various drivers) I then tried the phone-restart-while-plugged-in, and I'm cautiously optimistic, as I've unplugged and replugged a few times, and transferred a few pictures, all ok so far. Hope that's the end of it!

just installed NSU for retail....nope, still nothing, phone charges but not registering on computer. getting peed off now
