I think most people who think of the Canvas and the Studio as competitors aren't professional artists. I find the articles comparing the two are mainly done becauae the Surface Studio has name recognition, so will get more clicks than comparing it to a Cintiq.

In one sense it's a good deal. The monitor itself can justifiably sell for $2000. Wacom's 27" Cintiq Touch is $2700 and the pen has two mappable buttons on the side as well as tilt sensitivity. But the screen isn't as good. It's overpriced in my opinion, due to lack of decent competition. The...

I know what you mean. While it would be far from useless for me since it would be enough for 85% of what I do, I can't justify the purchase because I'd still need to keep a tower around for some work. That means another desk with another computer. Mind you... if I had $4200 just laying...

I believe that most of the ones that were on display were the i5 model. So if you really wanted to, you could get the i7 and have something that is already more than you currently need.

Perhaps the proper answer should be a waving white flag.

The original might have been a HDR image, and it just looked darker when viewed through a regular sRGB monitor.
