I've had this problem since I got my 920 a year ago, just turn the screen off and back on again and it's working again.

I am probably going to keep my stormtrooper lumia 920 (which was kindly replaced by nokia for a brand new one) and eventually get a lumia 930 in spring of 2015 when the price tips to 250 GBP. My response to your question: no I wouldn't give my old lumia away, because it was my first WP.

Get it on pay as you go with EE for 350 GBP that's much cheaper, I got my lumia 920 for 270 GBP with a philips wireless speaker included that way!
