Haha I am a sober Windows Phone user. I actually switched all my family to Windows Mobile. Every one has slowly moved over to Continuum capable phones. We resist the general consumption of technology because we are a big, tight-knitted family, so frown on too much Netflix or games or SnapChat...

I am addicted...and SOLD on Windows 10 Mobile continuum. It has really changed my life.

So I have looked into it. DeX is very proprietary. It is unfortunate that the DeX station only works 100% well with an S8/S8+/Note 8. USB connections don't carry well because the Samsung phones use a specific system that only works with the DeX.

Movie Moments is not Continuum Capable. The best for video editing is the wonderful Anitomica-Video Editor by MIxilabs. Runs well, UWP, and continuum capable.

I have. The HP DisplayPort to DVI adapter works great. I say go with DP to DVI rather than the HDMI, for a slightly more common usage scenario (if you ever get an HP Elite x3 with Dock, you'll thank me). By the way, DVI works better than VGA in this scenario since you have to worry less about...

Amen. I see every usage scenario you've mentioned. It is a real shame that I don't see too much excitement for Continuum. It can change the way a school works if further developed.

In my experience, the HP Elite x3 has been my best. So much that it surpassed my 950 XL in daily usage. I live in Continuum now, aside from heavy lifting from my Surface Book.

I would love to know how it handles everywhere else.

So....that's where the problems start. Unfortunately, mimicking Continuum on the V20 is much more limited. Not appwise, per say, but basically no apps work differently than an oversized phone screen.

Have this problem. Alcatel also has this bug. What it needs it's to be able to restart the device to finish installing but it can't.

Here is my take: Don't use the Inside builds. The Lap Dock firmware and Wireless Utility firmware both have updates available only through the HP Elite X3's Device Hub so far. I had the prob that my dual-sim Lumia 950 didn't respond to keyboard and trackpad in the beginning, but to an ATT L950...
