    It's not really a generation old, the 580 is just an overclocking 480. Slightly higher average OC than a 480 because of manufacturing improvements but nothing too significant. 480 is a great card.

    That's cool, has it been pretty stable/ easy to use since the debacle when oculus implemented the hardware check to see if a rift was installed? Strange the windows ten version of Minecraft doesn't work well, what with that?

    For me, lone echo has been the game that got me interested in VR, but I have yet to play it. Of course it's an oculus exclusive.

    Playing loads of sea of thieves with my brother at the moment, it could be a great vr game with a few modifications. I'm really dying for a chance to try it to, especially lone echo and some of the "experience" style videos like the moon or undersea ones.

    Well it seems that the pixmax renders at 4k, the use of 8k is to reduce the screen door effect. Pretty cleaver move I think!

    Yea the touch controllers look that bit nicer that the vive controllers alright, definitely look better balanced. Decisions decisions. Thanks for all the help everyone. Can't believe the rust is 2 years old now. Time has flown!

    Is there any talk of the VIVE pro supporting inside out tracking with its dual camera as a fallback, convenience option? EDIT: seems like its not really suited to it. Mostly designed to make sure you don't bump into things better than with the original VIVE.

    What's your opinion on the first generation headsets? Are you itching to get your hands on a second generation headset or just enjoying VR as it currently stands?

    Yea, the vr market is so small its a pity they have fragmented the market. Maybe they could just charge more for non Rift users, recoup their investment in the games that way....
