I have had the 8x, 822 and 928. I can say that overall I think the Nokia experience is much better. However, I really liked the 8x feel and look. I expect that in the future we will see the nokia apps exclusivity end and we will see something like the hct one running windows.

I am on my third 8x, first two had audio defects and my current 8x is totally crap. Blackened edges, choppy/distorted audio, screen freezes and erratic battery life. I am currently fighting with Verizon and hope to receive a different phone soon.

That is a little below average. I have had three 8x's and each of them have ranged in battery life. The first one I received was very similar to what you explained. I had to charge it twice a day. The 3rd one was much better, with higher than normal use a battery lasts me from about 7 am till 12 am.

The DNA screen is noticeably better. I hope windows phones will support 1080p resolution, I am very happy with the appearance on my 8x, however if wp8 does offer 1080p I would like to have the best available resolution I can.
