When will we see an update to Tablet Mode (or any of the Windows 10 Shell)?

Tablet mode has not been updated in quite a while, which is a shame. The start menu used to get UI changes every update, now that work stalled (the start screen still needs much improvement IMO). Control center was rumored/leaked multiple times and still never materialized in any insider...

Is Andromeda likely cancelled as the rumours say?

Yeah, I also think WCOS and Cshell started with W10M. The first (and only?) video of CShell is Zac's video from about a year ago and he was running it on a Windows phone. Using W10M as the starting point would make sense since they stopped working on W10M at the same time they were rumored to...

Do you think a larger version of Andromeda would sell better than a pocketable version?

My thoughts exactly! I'm an engineering grad student and work on multiple projects and am constantly using scratch paper. Some of my scratch paper is just a quick calculation or something that can be forgotten, but I wish I could save a lot of my notes and be able to search for them just by...

Do you think a larger version of Andromeda would sell better than a pocketable version?

In ZDNet's report, it is said that Microsoft might ditch the pocketable version of Andromeda and remake it lager and more apt to run old, win32 apps efficiently with larger screens. I was wondering if you think there is a bigger audience for this type of device than there might be for a...

Should InkBall come back for Andromeda devices (and really all Windows10 devices)?

With Windows 8, Microsoft made a completely new/modern Minesweeper app built for touch and tablets (the big focus of Windows 8). Andromeda is rumored to have a big inking focus, and Windows 10 has seen a big push for improvements to inking over the last couple of updates now. I think some light...

Andromeda / Surface Phone will come with Android OS

The point of Andromeda is that it doesn't need mobile apps to be useful BECAUSE IT'S NOT A PHONE. Obviously the hope is that eventually the mobile apps will come, but Andromeda is first and foremost a JOURNAL. I write a ton on scratch paper (at work, at school, at home) and would LOVE to just...

Do you think the rumored Andromeda device will be able to replace PC's for some consumers?

Interesting point, I think it would also eliminate the need to take my laptop with me on some trips as well. Even if it doesn't fully replace my laptop, it may definitely replace certain use cases of it.

Do you think the rumored Andromeda device will be able to replace PC's for some consumers?

We've heard Polaris is rumored to make its way to traditional PC's like laptops. Since the rumored Andromeda device will have Polaris on it, and a new tablet like mode when unfolded, do you think it will be able to replace a PC for some consumers? My only concern is the typing experience...

Is it Smart to buy an android phone now that Microsofts new device is around the Corner?

Andromeda seems more PC focused to me. Therefore, I don't think Microsoft cares too much how many phone apps it has (e.g. snapchat, banking, etc.) at launch. I think it will be pushed with a huge focus on its new continuum capabilities (Version 1 of Polaris) and its tablet/journal/inking...

When the Windows Mobile on ARM will released?

I think it should be possible for a Windows 10 on ARM pc to run Windows Mixed Reality headsets, since ARM processors are already running amazing virtual reality experiences on smartphones with crazy high resolutions. I also believe that the HoloLens in ARM based as well. We'll have to wait for...

does the surface's lack usb type C put you off the surface?

I don't own a single device that uses USB Type C, so this does not put me off. Would've been nice to have though...
