Probably a stupid question, but I've never had unlocked before. If I buy the 950/950XL unlocked, but use it on AT&T, will it still download all the crappy AT&T apps? Is it putting it on their network that determines if that stuff always gets installed, or the phone branding?

It seems to be a bug. I had this happen too. It's not an app update, but some other update that does it I believe. I did a clean install, updated all from store, then had them all open (as monochrome), then, before my eyes after a few minutes, they all reverted back to the tile look.

It was already beaten to death during the preview (on this site even). They're going to improve this by years end they've said.
