Yes it is a shell and not a phone cover. It is slightly thicker than the normal shells because a rubber-like layer is fitted around the front and edges of the case for extra protection. It has a matte (rugged) finish.

These are the non-wireless ones. Black and Grey have a matte finish and the rest are glossy. :smile...

Update available, downloading now! :smile: Update done, got storage check but didn't get sense. On second thought, this was a firmware update rolled out by Nokia and Data Sense is a Microsoft app so its unlikely.

I have a black 820 and want a red glossy shell. I had contacted a Nokia priority centre regarding it but they said it's not available and they don't know when it will be. Also, there are 2 types of shells the glossy ones and the matte finish. All the color shells that come along with the phone...

What about the Non-wireless shells? I checked the links but it shows only the Wireless Charging ones.

Hi guys! Glad to see this thread, I own a black 820. It's been a month and I'm loving it so far, there are a few bugs in the OS but I'm sure they will be looked at and fixed through forthcoming updates. Also, just heard that the 1232.5957.1308.00xx firmware update has been released for the 820...

Now that I own it I can confirm that the audio quality is impressive, especially the Dolby effect.

You'll have to check at Nokia priority centres for the shells.

So I did go ahead and buy the 820. Got it for 24k indian rupees, bought a 32GB class 10 memory card with it. Initial impressions in one word, Luminated!

The front facing camera is not that big an issue for me.
