Was that in a group chat? I read that this states only in group chats. However, if the number change happens while the old contact is blocked, and after the number change the old contact is just removed from the blocked list it shouldn't show I hope. Would sound like a privacy issue to me.

Seems intrusive indeed if that's actually the case. If the old chat on the other person's phone is enough to contact someone who has a new number. I hoped that after a number change only the person with the new number can get back in touch with chats and only then they can reply again. The...

I want to block a contact on WhatsApp, then delete this chat and change my number. If after that I remove this contact out of my WhatsApp blocked list (unblock), to remove it from my system, will that contact be able to write me on WhatsApp again?
