I now have the second 930 and it also has the overheating issue. Doesn't matter if I restore from backup with transparent live tiles, go without restore from scratch, update or not update different apps, do hard or soft resets. A third one that we got at work on Friday for testing purposes also...

Hopefully its was really only a bad batch. I've returned my white 930 from o2 Germany and just today ordered a black one non carrier version. I hope this new one will be fine.

You are absolutely right. Even while still a developer preview the complete multimedia experience, not only Podcasts, on WP8.1 is so bad that it's almost a shame to bring something like this to market. One can only hope that Microsoft comes to its senses and puts some real effort in the Music...

Wow. It fixed itself. I connected to a win8 machine (tablet) and there it worked after downloading the metro winphone app. Afterwards I retried on the win7 machine and worked there again. So seems fixed for now.

Hi, yes charging the phone still works via USB cable. Even when plugged into PC charging starts almost immediately.
